This year-long intensive training program is designed for psychologists, psychiatrists, social workers, graduate students, CASACs, CASAC-Ts, LMHCs, psychiatric nurse practitioners, and those working in harm reduction settings to gain knowledge about the theory and application of integrative harm reduction psychotherapy (IHRP). We provide a comprehensive framework for conceptualizing and treating substance misuse and co-occurring disorders from an integrative harm reduction perspective. IHRP brings a harm reduction orientation to mental health and substance abuse treatment settings and a clinical treatment orientation to harm reduction settings. Classes are co-taught by Dr. Andrew Tatarsky, the developer of Integrative Harm Reduction Psychotherapy (IHRP) and Dr. Jenifer Talley, a close collaborator in its continuing evolution. Special guest speakers also contribute to the class and offers students the opportunity to engage with experts in the field.

Applications will be accepted through August 1, 2017

Classes will meet for 8 weeks each semester on Wednesday evenings from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., starting on September 20, 2017. Spring classes will begin in mid-January 2018 (start date TBD). Students will also participate in an intensive 3-day training December 1-3.
